Primark Visual Merchandising
Hi guys,
Hope everyone's had a brill week!
So as some of you may know from my social media I have been doing some visual merchandising shifts at work as overtime and part of my contract.
I've really been loving it, like I do love being in cash office but coming out and being creative is quite a nice split as well.
From one of my previous posts, I have had visual experience at House of Fraser last February which made me want to apply for the role at Primark as I did really enjoy it and wanted to gain more experience in it and add more creative stuff to my portfolio.
I love how fast paced Primark is compared to House of Fraser, where deliveries are every night and products sell out so quick there's always something to do.
House of Fraser was also very much based on guidelines, so I didn't really feel it was as creative as visual merchandising was made out to be when I was studying my visual module last year in my L4 fashion retail course. Primark doesn't have as many guidelines, which I'm rather chuffed about.
So far I've changed mannequins, done floor moves, changed/updated trend areas and merchandised fixtures.
I haven't done a window yet but I only have one shift a week at work so hopefully I'll be able to do a window change soon!
Here's some of the mannequins, displays and fixtures I have worked on over the past two-ish months;

I hope you enjoy seeing what I'm up to with work, I do love to share what I'm up to. I'll probably upload a few posts a week with what I'm doing with visual merchandising.
Thanks for reading & looking !
