Vienna 2018

Hey everyone,

As you know I've been sooo inactive but I've been so busy and been trying to change that!

First of all, I finally got a new job which is a step in the right direction for my future career as a cash office assistant at the new Primark in Bluewater and I'm so excited! I had my last day at Bobbing Apple last Wednesday which was a shame but I had to take the opportunity 😬

Some of you may be aware that in December last year I went to Vienna with my bestfriend Kavun, and had the most amazing time ever. It was quite a spontaneous trip, I think we booked it a week or two before, which is always the best way!

I wasn't sure what to expect, as I went to Amsterdam in October and it was quite activity lead, with many museums and landmarks to see.

If I'm honest, Vienna was quite a difficult place to work out, it wasn't on CityMapper and there wasn't many apps to help navigate. It was hard to find things to do, but that didn't stop us.

When we arrived we was quite tired having to leave my house at 4am after me stressing all weekend trying to complete an assignment due while I was away, so we had a chill evening and had a drink and walk around the area where we was staying (oh my god, it was miles away from Vienna) but it was a real fancy hotel I must admit, it only opened a few days prior to us staying. We had a few drinks and a laugh and chilled right out. I'm quite a fussy eater so I decided to get a nice plainnnn pizza and Kav ordered this vile meat feast but we split it half and shared. I mulled the Pizza apart 😬😬 the meat was unexplainable, sorry boo.

I wore my Adidas Originals sweatshirtwhich I got from Amsterdam, taped Jogger trousers from PULL&BEARand checked Vans.

Our second day, we decided to go to Belvedere Palace. I decided to wear my Supreme x Levi's boilersuit, with a New Look Men's striped t-shirt, Supreme bumbagand Fila Distributer II trainers. It seemed sunny ish, and wasn't raining so I asked Kavun if he thought I'd need a coat, he said no. Worst mistake of my life, I was absolutely frozen all day and couldn't stop complaining 😬. However, Belvedere Palace was absolutely stunning, I've not seen much like it.

We then decided to have a general look around and we found a nice Christmas Market where we got the cutest photo taken in a photo booth. I was so determined to find a few Christmas markets, and they was honestly so pretty.

We also found some shops n I found some really cool joggers and Kav was annoyed because he wanted to buy something from PULL&BEAR but I did 💋.

The next day we went to the Vienna Zoo. It was a beautiful zoo, they had so many different species of animals, and the buildings holding them and placed around the zoo were truly beautiful and did feel like something out of a film. The only thing I must admit and did quite upset me is you could 100% see the animals weren't happy.

I mean I'm no expert, but a lot of the animals were kept alone, as in, there was only one of a lot of animals. I could tell is wasn't like at home where animals are shown in zoos but you know that people are conserving them and hope to release them in the future but you could tell at the Zoo in Vienna that they was for show, which was a shame. I think what made me realise this the most was a really agitated Polar Bear, going backwards and forwards roaring in it's rather small cage. I mean I thought it was absolutely freezing at the zoo, but they're built for much colder environments. Anyway, maybe that's a debate for another time! I did get to see a Panda Bear however, which I don't think I've ever seen in my life before!

I wore my Collusion coat, Adidas Sweatshirt, Primark scarf, The North Face bumbag, PULL&BEAR joggers and my Adidas Yeezy Boosts.

We then found another Palace (Schönbrunn Palace) where me and Kav had a little photo shoot, and round the corner there was another Christmas Market, where we had hot chocolate which was so good on the cold day. As it got darker you could see all the Christmas lights and it was so pretty.

The following day we visited the Vienna Museum of Natural History, which was rather interesting and quite cheap too. This was also next to a Christmas market.

We saw a lot of people walking around with alcoholic bevs in Christmas mugs and thought we had to try as it was a Viennese tradition. I had a 'Vodka and Orange Punch' and Kavun had some sort of rum. All I can say is never again. I was stood trying to drink it for about half an hour. Vodka shouldn't be warmed, ever, not even for Christmas.

This was our final night, so we decided we needed to hit the Vienna clubs before we went home. We decided to go to U4 Vienna which was a super cool club, drinks were a little pricey but not too expensive. It was open till 6am and we didn't get back to the hotel till about 7am... it was a longggg night! However, definitely one to remember.

I wore H&M x Moschino t-shirt, Topman tartan jogger trousers, Fila Distributor II trainers, Kappa bumbag, ASOS Choker and my Vivienne Westwood necklace.

I loved Vienna, I would recommend it to anyone, especially around Christmas. I would go again 100% but I would need to plan in depth what I am going to do and how to get to these places before I get there!
