Alexander Wang by Adidas Originals
Adidas, the globally famous sportswear brand, has been collaborating with many prestigious celebrities and designers. Them being Kanye West for 'Yeezy', Pharrell Williams, and more recently Alexander Wang.
Alexander Wang started out as a designer when he was 18 years old. He moved to New York to study at Parsons School of Design. Later on, he decided to launch his own fashion label and predominantly won an award from the Vogue Fashion Fund which is perhaps where we, as fashion enthusiasts, see him become known for his talent.
Here is the video shown to the public on the announcement of the drop of Alexander Wang by Adidas collection. It's edgy vibe makes the entire collection feel like it has a meaning, rather than being just a business collaboration.
It is no surprise that Adidas would like to team up with other prestigious designers following the collaboration of sports rival Puma with pop-star, actor, and designer Rihanna for Fenty x Puma. In 2014 she was named the Creative Director of Puma and therefore she oversaw the direction in which womenswear went for Puma which sprouted the release of the Fenty collection. Adidas Yeezy collaboration by Kanye West was confirmed in 2013 and released in 2015 and is an ongoing collection.
The Alexander Wang by Adidas Originals collection was exhibited at the end of the Spring Summer 2017 collection and visual effects and video footage were shown to create a suspense in the audience of what the collection would be. The traditional Trefoil was exposed to the audience, with a unique upside down touch. An array of new, textured Adidas track suits were shown to the audience with the upside down trefoil on them and the classic three parallel bars embroiled down the side of the apparel.
The collection began to drop in April and has had three drops since. The collection is sold on both the Alexander Wang and the Adidas websites as well as in pop-up stores usually located in capital cities like New York and London.
Some of Wangs' designs include; crewneck jumpers using sportswear cotton, velour crop tops, velour polo shirts (both short and long sleeved) as well as a suede trainer with a thick soul following the recent trend of thick-souled creepers and platforms.

I so want to cop a piece of this collection before it sells out, it need an outfit for the Balenciaga exhibition at the end of May!
